A BIT ABOUT US

The American First Responder Association (AFRA) was founded by a team of current and former first responders who share a deep commitment to supporting those who serve our communities. Having served alongside firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and law enforcement, we know that every first responder, from entry-level to advanced, each face unique pressures, demands, and sacrifices. Our mission is shaped by that lived experience.

AFRA was created to give back—to provide the resources, recognition, and support that so many first responders go without. From scholarships for those beginning their journey to virtual mental health services and career transition assistance, our mission is to uplift those on the front lines and empower them throughout every stage of their careers.

We believe that when we support first responders, we strengthen entire communities. Through education, connection, and a strong sense of purpose, AFRA is building a national network dedicated to those who dedicate their lives to others.
